About the work:
My work as a photographer blossomed several years ago, when I fell very ill with an unexpected illness that prevented me from engaging in many activities and rendered me unable to engage with the world as I once had. With the aid of my camera, I learned to find beauty in all spaces and to eternalize those moments through pictures.
Through my lens, I learned to look beyond the limitations of my health and find tremendous meaning in the subtleties of my surrounding world.
This art has taught me to not only see grace in the world around me, but to also actively seek such grace--a paradigm that has created space for so much joy, creativity, and community.
This paradigm lies at the very core of my work, and is the approach I will bring to my work with you! I offer wedding, family, commercial, editorial, and event photography. I am based in Asheville, but always willing to travel. If you are in need of a service I have not mentioned, please contact me and we will discuss how I can fulfill your needs!
When I'm not working, I can usually be found exploring the local forests, mountains, and rivers, headed out for a hike or a dip, playing music, writing poetry, reading a good book, or adventuring with my beloved partner in crime, Wes (who also serves as my second shooter from time to time!). You can take a peek into my adventures on Instagram! I am a writer and poet, and I currently serve as Poetry Editor for the forthcoming Franco-American creative journal, Résonance.
